Hi,
Would it be possible to move our Thursday meeting to 10 am instead of 2 pm? Something came up in my afternoon.
And if you could send me the minutes from last time by Wednesday, that would be perfect.
Thanks!
A family of desktop apps
Ardoise DB, Craie Text, Cahier Git and Plume Mail: four apps for your databases, your writing, your code and your mail. Simple, flexible, powerful and smart. And nothing happens without your say-so.
macOS first · Windows and Linux next, from the same code
Simple
What you look for is where you expect it. Open it and work: nothing to set up before you start.
Flexible
Keyboard or mouse, light or dark, French or English; Claude or a model on your own computer.
Powerful
Shortcuts everywhere, a command palette, several windows, large volumes without slowing down.
Smart
An assistant that knows what is in front of you, proposes, explains, and leaves the decision to you.
The pencil case
Ardoise, Craie, Cahier and Plume are French for the slate, the chalk, the notebook and the quill: each app is named after a school tool, and Trousse is the pencil case that holds them.
In daily useDatabase client
PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite, SQL Server and more, in a fast and safe grid, with an assistant that knows your schema.

First versionText editor
Light and quick, with Sublime Text’s shortcuts, one-key formatting and a calm page to write on.

First versionGit client
Several repositories, the graph, diffs down to the line, and an assistant that writes your commit messages and release notes.

First versionMail client
All your inboxes together, even offline, sorted into categories, and an assistant that proposes and never sends anything without your say-so.

Real desktop apps with a Rust core: they open fast, stay light and follow the system’s ways: menus, shortcuts, windows.
The same gestures, a command palette everywhere, the same settings, the same assistant: know one and you are at home in the others.
The SQL, the edit, the commit message or the reply arrives as a proposal to review. Nothing runs, is written or is sent without your say-so.
Claude with your API key or your Claude plan (through Claude Code), or models running on your computer: Apple’s on-device model on Macs with Apple Intelligence, Ollama, LM Studio.
Passwords and API keys go into the system’s keychain (macOS Keychain, Windows Credential Manager, Secret Service on Linux), never into a file.
Speak, and the text appears as you talk. Whisper runs inside the app, and the audio never leaves your computer. In Ardoise DB and Craie Text.
Ardoise DB is an MCP server: Claude Code and other agents explore your databases without seeing your passwords, and their changes wait for your approval.
Designed on the Mac, built from the same code for Windows and Linux.
The assistant
The family’s assistant reads what is in front of you (the schema, the file, the diff, the thread) and answers with a proposal: a diff to accept or reject, a query to read before you run it. It never has more power than you.
Models you can use
Privacy
No account, no telemetry, no cookies, in the apps or on this site. Your passwords stay in the system’s keychain; your databases, files and mail stay on your machine or go straight to your own servers.
What leaves, and to whomSystems
macOS
The reference platform: Touch ID, the Keychain, the menu bar, Apple’s model.
Windows
The same code, built and tested for Windows, with Ctrl in place of ⌘.
Linux
The same code, built and tested for Linux.
Signed builds are on their way. No sign-up, no waiting list: just come back and see.
